Alan Jackson has some big news. And the country star says that contrary to recent rumors, it's not that he's ending his career.
Jackson is making plans to mark a milestone -- his 25th anniversary as a recording artist. The celebration will begin later this summer, with the launch of a career retrospective exhibit at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum opening on August 29th.
In addition, Jackson will serve as the next Artist-in-Residence at the museum, and give a series of intimate concerts showcasing his work. Jackson will also head out on a 25-city 25th anniversary tour next year, while new music is due in the coming months.
Alan Jackson's debut album, Here in the Real World, arrived in February 1990. The title track, which peaked at number three, was the first of four top ten hits to come from the disc.
