Florida Georgia Line is serving as the country music representative at this year's Teen Choice awards. The duo was the only country act appearing at the event, which aired Sunday night on Fox. They shared the stage with Nelly to perform their chart-topper, "Cruise."
Their performance got cheers, but Florida Georgia Line didn't seem to fare a well with the voters. "Cruise" was up for Choice Summer Song, which went to Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop," and Choice Country Song, which went to Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Florida Georgia Line fell to Lady Antebellum for Choice Country Group. Swift, meanwhile, also captured the nod for Choice Female Country Artist. Hunter Hayes was named Choice Male Country Artist.
One Direction was the night's big music winner. Other top honorees included the TV shows "Pretty Little Liars," "Glee," and "The X Factor;" and the films "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," "Pitch Perfect," and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."
